She’s Baaaack!

Last year’s election’s long over. It’s time to move on to other issues of the day, which have, unfortunately, not gone away. On this site, I will attempt to address those issues just as clearly, just as honestly, just as forcefully, as I did before the election in my “Vicki’s View” column on vallejonews.com. And, I assure you I will do so without fear.

I would be less than candid, however, if I didn’t admit to giving some consideration to just fading away in silence. Isn’t that what old soldiers – and sailors – are supposed to do? But the outrages by the folks who run things at 555 Santa Clara Street, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and, now, wherever the Governator hangs his hat in Sacramento, make it painfully hard for anyone with an ounce of integrity to remain silent. My tongue is already bleeding too much.

So, here I am, back on my own – I hope you will consider it our - website, offering my unmediated views, hoping to provoke an honest dialogue about local, state, and national issues you might not find reported or discussed in your “paper of record.” It beats standing on a street corner, passing out my views in leaflets…something I was reduced to doing during last fall’s campaign. It is also something I promised during the campaign to do with this website – to continue it as a forum for discussing local and national issues. So let’s get on with it! Let’s move forward. Spring is here. It is a time for renewal.

I hope that many of you will find me here – www.vickigray.com – listen with an open mind and talk back just as openly. I promise an open ear and an honest effort at discussing your concerns on these pages. You can reach me at vgray54951@aol.com. I look forward to hearing from you and speaking with you.
